Abstract

The paper is devoted to obtaining of construction materials from different mixtures of ground-cooled ferrous slag (DFS) with Electric Arc Flue Dust (EAFD) and foundry sand (FS) and liquid alkaline waste of Al-industry. It was established by XRD that the crystal bodies of solid particles are partly or completely dissolved in a porous solution, forming of sol. The sol transforms into gel amorphic new formation due to increasing porous concentration. The gel transits to a stone-like state due to numerous stages of gel syneresis. Therefore after 28 days the strength of the samples reached till 10 MPa. All the hazardous elements of wastes are chemically binded in insoluble compositions and were tested in acid, alkaline and neutral solutions. New materials can be used as concrete for the new environmentally safe and financially effective construction materials of roads and airfields bases, foundations, blocks, dumps of industrial and municipal wastes, etc.
