Abstract

This work aims to address the implementation of improvements in the order-closing process of the department responsible for shipping steel parts for the construction industry, specifically the cut-and-bending sector, with the objective of reducing the occurrence of errors. The proposal involves the use of tools already available in daily operations, such as Excel and Graphico Schnell, along with simple and quick methods like Poka-Yoke and PDCA, integrating them as support for this control in a straightforward and accessible manner. The main objective was to develop a control system in an Excel spreadsheet capable of minimizing failures at the moment of closing new orders, thereby promoting greater security and reliability in the process. It is worth noting that the cut-and-bend sector has been in operation for five years and, to date, does not have a structured method for blocking or validating orders. Therefore, the implementation of this control represents a significant opportunity for standardization and continuous improvement of processes.
