Abstract
The paper presents the CVRD projects in the coal and coke sector. The CVRD goal is to become the 3rd major mining company in the world and the coal segment will contribute to achieve this target – CVRD is investing in order to be one of the 5 major coal exporters in the world until 2015. It is presented general information about the following projects: Moatize and other projects in Mozambique, a green field project in Australia, Mongolia, Venezuela and in China.
