Abstract

O sistema RtPM (Real-time Performance Management) ou Inteligência Operacional tem como principal objetivo a publicação de indicadores de desempenho da operação, baseados em informação em tempo real, que possam permitir aos gestores e supervisores serem notificados e terem acesso a informações adequadas para que possam atuar e evitar a perda de desempenho da unidade industrial. Para a implantação de um sistema RtPM existem muitos desafios técnicos, gerenciais e culturais que devem ser devidamente endereçados para o completo sucesso e retorno do investimento neste tipo de aplicação. O Conhecimento do Processo e da Operação, a Automação Industrial (TA) e a Tecnologia da Informação (TI) são os pilares principais que devem ser bem endereçados para que haja sucesso no projeto. A área Operacional é uma das mais beneficiadas neste tipo de aplicação, pois a redução de perdas e a geração de oportunidades aumentam significativamente após a implantação do sistema. No entanto também é importante ressaltar a visibilidade e a importância maior dada pela organização aos investimentos em informação e automação de processos, aproximando cada vez mais essas áreas dos objetivos de negócio da empresa. Este trabalho descreve os pré-requisitos e as características essenciais para implantação deste tipo de aplicação, os motivadores principais, os desafios a serem enfrentados antes e durante o projeto do sistema e, finalmente, os benefícios gerais para toda a organização.

 

The RtPM system (Real-time Performance Management) or Operational Intelligence's main objective is the publication of performance indicators of the operation, based on real-time information that can allow managers and supervisors to be notified and have access to adequate information to act and prevent the loss of plant performance. For the implementation of a RtPM system there are many technical challenges, and cultural issues should be properly addressed to the complete success and return on investment in this type of application.Process and Operations Knowledge, Industrial Automation (TA) and Information Technology (IT) are the main pillars that must be addressed to be successful in the project. The operational area is one of the most benefit from this type of investment, since the loss reduction and generation of opportunities increase significantly after the deployment. However it is also important to emphasize the visibility and importance given by the organization to greater investment in information and process automation, closer and closer to these areas of the company's business objectives. This paper describes the prerequisites and the essential characteristics for implementation of this type of application, the main drivers, the challenges to be faced before and during the system design and ultimately the overall benefits to the entire organization.
