Abstract
Hot metal desulphurisation has been implemented for decades after tapping at blast furnaces. The desulphurisation process which is tailored to suit the requirements of the melt calls for a treatment which subordinates itself to the cycle of the continuous casting facilities which are located downstream. High demands are hereby exacted from plant engineering which must be fulfilled by a modern injection plant.
