Abstract

A construção civil é um dos setores que mais gera resíduos sólidos em suas diferentes etapas, como restos de argamassas, concreto e alvenarias, por isso é conhecido como um sistema pouco eficiente. Uma solução a este paradigma é a adoção de do sistema de alvenaria estrutural que tem como principais vantagens a racionalização dos processos construtivos, gerando economia aos usuários. Sabe-se que mesmo com essa vantagem existem problemas, principalmente quanto aos materiais que são utilizados na confecção dos blocos, que podem ser de materiais cerâmicos ou cimentício e devem ser rigorosamente normatizados. Este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir os principais parâmetros utilizados para a garantia da qualidade de blocos de concreto para fins estruturais, possibilitando seu uso na construção civil. Observa-se que existe no país uma grande quantidade de empresas que produzem estes blocos sem o mínimo cuidado com a qualidade requerida, colocando em risco as edificações.

Civil construction is one of the sectors that most generates solid waste in its different stages, such as remnants of mortars, concrete and masonry, so it is known as an inefficient system. One solution to this paradigm is the adoption of the structural masonry system that has as main advantages the rationalization of the constructive processes, generating savings to the users. It is known that even with this advantage there are problems, mainly regarding the materials that are used in the confection of the blocks, which can be of ceramic or cement materials and must be strictly standardized. This work aims to discuss the main parameters used to guarantee the quality of concrete blocks for structural purposes, allowing their use in civil construction. It is observed that in the country a great number of companies that produce these blocks without the minimum care with the required quality, putting at risk the constructions.
