Abstract

Esse trabalho foi feito para evitar ou minimizar ao máximo o uso de projeção de massas refratárias dentro dos fornos elétricos a arco para fusão, através da melhoria da performance dos refratários, trabalhando em termos de produção, planejamento, processos e manutenção, e, com isso, melhorando também a qualidade final do aço, cuja incidência de problemas de inclusões não metálicas vinha ocorrendo, além da umidade levada pela massa, que poderia causar problemas de porosidade no aço. Como metodologia, foram estudados taps diferentes, mudança em basicidade da escória, altura do banho metálico e outros recursos. Os resultados obtidos foram os melhores possíveis, conseguindo-se eliminar completamente o uso da massa refratária para reparo rápido dos refratários, o que possibilitou ganhar tempo de corrida e melhor limpeza do aço. Na parte final, as ações que são apresentadas estão relacionadas com os resultados alcançados.

 

This work was performed to avoid or minimize the projection of refractories masses on the electric arc furnaces walls, through the improvement of the performance of the refractories, in relation to production, planning, processes and repairs and, with this, improving also the final quality of the metal. The occurrence of non metallic inclusions occurred in a intensive way, besides the humidity of the mass which could cause problems of porosities at the steel. At the methodology we have studied different powers, changing at the basicity of the slag, height of the bath and others. The obtained results were the best possible in order to eliminate completely the use of refractory mass to fast repair of the refractories walls, allowing to save tap to tap and a better cleaning of the steel. At the final part, the actions are showed and the results.
