Abstract

We performed the analysis of bleed-through СО2 emission during the recycling of BOF and BF sludges by means of their briquetting and using such briquettes in ironmaking in line with different process routes: using in blast furnace raw briquettes; using in blast furnace briquettes after prereduction them in a rotary hearth furnace or after prereduction them in a tube rotary kiln by Waeltz process; melting of raw briquettes in an OxyCup cupola. Minimal СО2 emission can be achieved by using in a blast furnace raw briquettes or briquettes after prereduction them in a rotary hearth furnace.
