Abstract

Um estudo comparativo da soldagem do aço X80 para gasodutos foi efetuado utilizando os processos ao arco elétrico manual com eletrodo revestido (básico e celulósico), por gravidade (normal e sub aquático) e arame tubular robotizado. O estudo apresenta as possibilidades de obtenção de boas juntas soldadas quando se utilizam os diferentes processos de soldagem em determinadas condições. A qualidade das juntas soldadas foi avaliada através de estudos metalográficos e ensaios mecânicos. Os resultados do estudo permitem definir procedimentos específicos de soldagem do aço API 5L – X80, em melhores condições técnicas e econômicas.

A comparative study of the welding of X80 pipeline steel was conducted using coated electrodes (basic and cellulosic) manually and with help of a gravity system (in air and under water) and tubular wire using a robot. The study shows the possibilities of obtaining good welds when using different welding processes under certain conditions. The quality of the welded joints was evaluated by mechanical tests and metallographic studies. The results allowed to define specific procedures for welding the API 5L - X80 steel in better technical and economic conditions.
