Abstract

Com a crescente exigência de níveis de teores de enxofre menores em diversos tipos de aço, a utilização da escória sintética tem papel fundamental no refino secundário dos aços. Este trabalho tem como objetivo, correlacionar à capacidade de enxofre da escória sintética com a dessulfuração do aço, utilizando a termodinâmica computacional, resultados de dados industriais e de laboratório. Um trabalho conjunto entre a Tecnosulfur S/A e o Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo - IFES, permitiu a determinação de parâmetros operacionais de Aciarias Elétricas para garantir os resultados desejados de dessulfuração no refino secundário com a utilização da composição ideal da escória sintética sinterizada, composta por um sistema CaO-MgO-CaF2 -SiO2.

With the increasing requirement to sulfur lower levels in various types of steel, the use of synthetic slag has a fundamental role in secondary refining. This study aims to correlate the ability of sulfur synthetic slag with steel desulfurization, using computational thermodynamics and results of laboratory and industrial data. A collaborative effort between the Tecnosulfur S/A and the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo - IFES, allowed the determination of operational parameters of Electrical Steelworks to ensure the desired results in secondary refining desulfurization using the ideal composition of synthetic sintered slag, composed a system CaO-MgO-CaF2-SiO2.
