Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo estudar experimentalmente o efeito de alguns parâmetros do tratamento térmico de envelhecimento em corpos de prova da liga 356.0. O estudo foi realizado em corpos de prova obtidos em molde de areia a verde. O teor de ferro na liga foi de 0,98% e o teor de manganês em 0,64%. O tratamento térmico de solubilização foi feito na temperatura de 520oC durante 5 h e o envelhecimento foi a 180oC e nos tempos de 6 h, 10 h, 14 h, 16 h, 20 h e 28 h. A formação de partículas intermetálicas devido à presença do ferro e ausência do tratamento de modificação favoreceu a obtenção de baixos resultados de alongamento. Houve aumento do limite de resistência e dureza e redução no alongamento nas amostras envelhecidas em relação às amostras no estado bruto de fundição e solubilizadas.

The effect of different artificial ageing parameters in alloy 356.0 were studied in sand casting specimens produced. The content of Fe was 0.98 % and Mn 0.64 %. The temperature of the solution heat treatment was 520 oC at 5 h, and the temperature of artificial ageing was 180 oC whose aging ranging at 6, 10, 14, 16, 20 and 28 h. The elongation in the specimens produced was very low. This behavior is attributed to intermetalic phases caused by Fe content and absence eutectic modification. The ageing heat treatment increased ultimate tensile strength and hardness whereas decreased elongation when compared to as cast and solution heat treatment specimens.
