Abstract

O desgaste é uma das principais causas das falhas de matrizes de forjamento a quente. A experiência tem mostrado que não é fácil descrevê-lo matematicamente, em virtude das não linearidades das influências dos parâmetros de importância no fenômeno. Desse modo, este trabalho analisa a previsão do desgaste de matrizes de forjamento a quente de corpos moedores, empregando o modelo de desgaste de Archard e a simulação numérica através de elementos finitos.

Wear is one of the main mechanics causing the failure of hot forging dies. Experimental results indicate that it is difficult to describe mathematically this phenomenon, due to the non-linearities of the influences of the parameters of importance in wear. The present work analyses the prediction of the wear in dies for hot forging of milling bodies, employing Archard’s approach and a numerical simulation based on finite elements.
