Abstract

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de avaliar a granulometria e o índice de plasticidade da adição de até 10% em peso de lama de alto forno a uma massa argilosa constituída de argila forte e fraca proveniente do município de São Miguel do Guamá-PA. As matérias-primas e o resíduo foram beneficiados e em seguida foi realizado o ensaio granulométrico por sedimentação e peneiramento e os ensaios de limite de liquidez e plasticidade pela determinação do limite de Atterberg, possibilitando delimitar as regiões apropriadas para fabricação de determinados produtos e classificar as composições em zonas de extrusão ótima e aceitável. Os resultados mostraram que o resíduo apresenta uma granulometria favorável e a sua incorporação de até 5% em peso serve para a produção de telhas.

 

This work has the objective to evaluate the granulometry and the plasticity index of the addition of up to 10% by wt of blast furnace sludge to a clay slag constituted of strong and weak clay from the municipality of São Miguel do Guamá-PA. The raw materials and the residue were benefited and then the granulometric test by sedimentation and sieving and the tests of liquidity limit and plasticity were determined by determining the Atterberg limit, allowing to delimit the appropriate regions for the manufacture of certain products and to classify the compositions in optimum and acceptable extrusion zones. The results showed that the residue has a favorable granulometry and its incorporation of up to 5% by wt is used for the production of tiles.
