Abstract

Analisa os conceitos de um Sistema de Informação nas organizações e apresenta as várias facetas da administração da informação externa nas organizações. Analisa a Gestão de Informação no Sistema USIMINAS, sua sustentação e sobrevivência na vida da empresa e seu papel estratégico de apoio nos negócios. Descreve-se a criação do Sistema de Informações, suas funções e seu desempenho na vida dos usuários, apoiando-os nos processos de tomada de decisão e no aprendizado. São mostrados os produtos e serviços de informação da Gerência de Informações do Sistema USIMINAS, abordando os aspectos da coleta, fontes, marketing, disseminação, indexação, uso da informação e, ainda, as características dos boletins publicados e dos bancos de dados disponibilizados na Intranet da organização.

 

It analyses the concepts of a Information System in the organizations and presents the many faces of the management of the external information in the organizations. It analyses the Management of Information in the Sistema USIMINAS, its sustentation and survival in the life of the company and its strategic supporting role in business. It describes the creation of the Information System, its functions and its performance in its the user’s lives, helping them in the processes of decision making and in learning. Products and services of information of the Management of Information of Sistema USIMINAS are shown, approaching the aspects of collection, sources, marketing, dissemination, indexation, use of information, as well as the characteristics of the bulletins published and the database made available in the Intranet of the organization.
