Abstract

Increasing production speeds and demands from custorners For higher qualities have led to the introduction of new techiniques for quality and process control during production, especially of semi-linished products. A typical example is a rolling mil where these controls are becorning more and more standard in the process of modernisation and automation. This paper delas with practical experientes of eddy current surface testing on hot steel tods. It includes such topics as testing procedures, data exchange especially using computa network solutions, displaying defect inlõrmation, etc.
