Abstract

Este trabalho descreve as modificações realizadas em um sistema de distribuição de gases siderúrgicos para permitir a queima controlada nas caldeiras em caso de operação sem gasômetros, com o mínimo de intervenção manual dos operadores. A pressão das linhas de distribuição de gases é normalmente mantida estável pelos gasômetros, mas quando estes equipamentos estão em manutenção, a pressão é controlada pelas torres de combustão, o que resulta na queima de grandes volumes de gás e intervenções manuais frequentes. As modificações realizadas no sistema de controle de pressão de vapor e combustão das caldeiras permitiram uma redução significativa na queima de gás nas torres de combustão e uma maior segurança operacional. A implantação deste sistema também resultou em benefícios econômicos relevantes, como a redução da aquisição de gás natural.

 

This paper describes modifications made to a system for distributing steel gases to allow for controlled burning in boilers in the event operation without gasholder with the minimum intervention by operators. Gas distribution lines are typically maintained at a stable pressure by gasholders, but when these equipments are under maintenance, pressure is controlled by gas flare, resulting in the burning of large volumes of gas and frequent manual interventions. The modifications made to the steam pressure and combustion control system's in the boilers resulted in a significant reduction in gas burning in the gas flare and greater operational safety. The implementation of this system also resulted in significant economic benefits, such as the reduction of natural gas procurement.
