Abstract

The increase in customer demand for steels with higher surface requirements, associated with the need to increase ArcelorMittal Tubarão's HSM productivity, it was necessary the development of controls and actions to reduce scale losses within the scenario of high productivity. This article describes the path followed by the hot strip mill team in order to reduce the occurrence and severity of scales.
