Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é o desenvolvimento de cerâmica vermelha a partir de resíduos industriais, como uma alternativa de disposição final para as empresas geradoras. Entre os resíduos industriais utilizados como matéria-prima neste trabalho, estão: lodo de Estações de Tratamento de Água, micro esferas de vidro, sais de neutralização de ácidos de baterias e argila. A cerâmica elaborada com a concentração máxima de resíduos (80%), destes, utilizando 50% de lodo de ETA apresentou uma resistência máxima a flexão de 10,8 MPa a 1.000°C, com o aumento da temperatura para 1.050°C houve um decréscimo da resistência para 9,6 MPa. As amostras cerâmicas foram submetidas à análise de raios-X difratometria e verificou-se a formação de novas estruturas minerais que não constavam nas matérias-primas iniciais.

 

The objective of this work is the red ceramics development from industrial wastes, as a final alternative of disposal for the generating companies. It enters the used industrial residues as raw material in this work, is: sludge of Stations of Water Treatment, micron glass spheres, neutralization salts of acid of batteries and clay. The ceramics elaborated with the maximum concentration of wastes (80%), of these, using 50% of WTP sludge presented an ultimate strength the flexão of 10,8 MPa 1000°C, with the increase of the temperature for 1050°C had a decrease of the resistance for 9,6 MPa. The ceramic samples had been submitted to the analysis of rays-x difratometry and verified it formation of new mineral structures that initial cousins did not consist in the substances.
