Abstract

O presente trabalho teve como finalidade avaliar a influência da presença de carbono amorfo na zona de sinterização do diamante no sistema B-Si-C. Para a execução do processo de sinterização os pós foram misturados em um moinho de alta energia. Os resultados mostraram que o carbono amorfo é capaz de minimizar o processo de grafitização durante a sinterização dos diamantes.

 

In the present work the influence of the presence of amorphous carbon in the sintering of the diamonds in the system B-Si-C was to evaluated. To implement the sintering process the powders were mixed in a high energy ball milling. The results showed that the amorphous carbon is able to minimize the graphititazion process during sintering of diamonds.
