Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objeto de estudo a relação das tensões geradas por defeitos internos em juntas soldadas e as suas criticidades. Na presente aplicação, o objetivo foi identificar a posição de defeito mais crítica da solda de uma chapa quando submetida às tensões de tração. Para a obtenção e análise dos resultados, foram realizados os ensaios não-destrutivos de ultrassom Phased Array e o ensaio visual, bem como os ensaios destrutivos de macrografia e tração. Os resultados mostraram que para a presente aplicação, mesmo na presença de defeitos internos, as juntas soldadas obtiveram maior resistência que o metal de base

This work has as object of study the relation of the tensions generated by internal defects in welded joints and its criticalities. In the present application, the objetctive was to identify the most critical defect position on a welded sheet, when subjected to tensile stresses. In order to obtain and analyze the results, the non destructive Phased Array ultrasound and visual tests were performed, as well as the destructive tests such as macrography and tensile tests. The results showed that, for the present application, even in the presence of internal defects, the welded joints obtained greater strength than the base metal
