Abstract

To meet the constant need for increased production eficiency and improved product quality, Morgan Construction Company continues to develop innovative equipment and processing techniques for new and existing rod mills. Developments in breakdown mills, mini-block and rod sizing technology, high speed laying, Stelmor controlled cooling and coil reforrning enable users to increase both production capacity and product quality, reduce manning and material cost, thereby increasing profítability. This paper summarizes how the latest developrnents in rolling mill equipment and processing technology can be incorporated in both new and existing mill layouts, thus providing product and scheduling flexibility to meet present and future Market demands.
