Abstract

As a major supplier of sinter plants for more than 50 years, SIEMENS-VAI continues to develop and apply advanced technological solutions and optimization packages for every step of the sintering process. On the basis of selected industrial examples for both new and existing plants, this paper presents innovative developments which contribute to a substantially increased specific production of high-quality sinter, major energy savings, increased flexibility in the use of a wide range of iron ores with different characteristics, reduced off-gas volumes and environmental solutions.
