Abstract

High speed mills lose with conventional passes utilization rate because the passes wear out earlier. If you want to increase the utilization rate up to 90% then one must use passes with a longer life. Having this 90% utilization rate, one has converted a high speedhigh wear rolling mill into a high speed-low wear rolling machine.
