Abstract

O aço inoxidável ferrítico P409A tem apresentado grande versatilidade de aplicações no setor automotivo em função das suas excelentes propriedades de resistência à corrosão, soldagem e estampagem. Para melhorar o desempenho do P409A, a ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil tem implementado melhorias ao longo de todo o processo de produção. Neste trabalho são apresentadas soluções relativas à Aciaria, onde o aumento da relação Si/Ti foi um fator importante para evitar a ocorrência de obstrução da válvula submersa no lingotamento contínuo e para minimizar o defeito esfoliação nas bobinas laminadas a frio.

 

Ferritic stainless steel P409A presents great variety of applications in the sector automotive in function of their excellent properties corrosion resistance, welding and stamping. To improve P409A’s performance, the ArcelorMittal Inox Brazil has implemented some actions in all production process. In this work, solutions in the Steelmaking are presented. Increase Si/Ti relationship had been important to prevent the occurrence of clogging in the nozzle in the continuous casting and minimize the skin lamination defect in the cold rolled coils.
