Abstract

Este artigo descreve o projeto de modernização do Sistema de Controle da Aciaria da CST, implantado com o objetivo de aumentar a disponibilidade do sistema, reduzir os tempos de diagnose e fornecer ferramentas para agilização da manutenção. O projeto busca atender aos requisitos da expansão de capacidade produtiva da usina para 7,5 Mt/aço líquido/ano. A modernização foi baseada na substituição de PLCs existentes, CP-3000/Reliance com tecnologia da década de 1980, pelos modernos PLCs ControlLogix da Rockwell Automation com a reformulação dos aplicativos de supervisão e controle contemplando a integração com os sistemas PIMS e PROCOM. A implantação foi caracterizada por detalhados procedimentos de engenharia que garantiram a troca segura dos PLCs, Estações de Operação, redes e periféricos inerentes ao Sistema de Controle da Aciaria, fortemente orientado na gestão dos riscos envolvidos numa operação deste tipo. Foram realizadas implantações durante as paradas programadas da área sem afetar a produção da CST, estruturadas em duas etapas: a primeira com a troca de CPU do PLC, a implantação dos novos aplicativos do PLC e Supervisório, e a migração das variáveis analógicas, mantendo-se o hardware e os sinais discretos interligados ao ControlLogix através de “I/O Savers”; a segunda com a migração dos sinais discretos.

 

This white-paper describes the project of modernization of the CST’s Aciaria Control System, implanted with the objective of increasing the availability of the system, to reduce the times of diagnose and to supply tools for maintenance speeding up. The project took care of to the requirements of the expansion of productive capacity of the plant for 7.5Mt liquid/steel per year. The modernization was based on the substitution of existing PLCs, CP-3000/Reliance with technology of the decade of 1980, for the modern PLCs Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, with the reformulation of the supervisory and the control systems, encompassing the integration with PIMS and PROCOM systems. The implantation was characterized by detailed procedures of engineering that had guaranteed the safe exchange of the PLCs, inherent Operation Stations, networks and peripherals to the Aciaria Control System, strongly guided in the management of the involved risks in this kind of operation. Implantations during the predefined stops of the area without affecting the production of the CST, structuralized in two stages had been carried through: in the first stage occurred the exchange of CPU of the PLC, the implantation of the new Supervisory and PLC programs, and the migration of the analogical variables, remaining the discrete signals linked to the ControlLogix via “I/O Savers”; in the second stage occurred the migration of the discrete signals.
