Abstract

Este trabalho apresentará um projeto de automação aplicado no monitoramento de bacias do DRS (Depósito de Rejeito Sólido), instalado em uma empresa de produção de alumina. Tendo como objetivo a busca incansável pela excelência operacional e de custo, bem como pela primazia em saúde, segurança e meio ambiente (SSMA) e em responsabilidade social (RS). A tecnologia de automação empregada foi um Sistema Supervisório SCADA e uma rede de instrumentação Wireless. O projeto contribuiu para monitorar com mais eficiência, diminuindo ainda mais os riscos de novos incidentes e aumentando qualidade oferecida pela parte operacional.

 

This paper presents a design automation applied to monitor the basins of the SWD (Solid Waste Deposit), installed in a company producing alumina. Aiming at the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and cost, as well as the primacy of health, safety and environment (HSE) and social responsibility (SR). The automation technology used was a Supervisory System SCADA, a Programmable Logic Controller - PLC and a network of wireless instrumentation. The project contributed to more effectively monitor, further decreasing the risk of further incidents and increasing the quality offered by the operating part.
