Abstract
With the increasing globalization and intense cornpetition in the ferrous and non-ferrous flat products markets, Morgan Construction Company continues to make significant technological improvernents in its MORGOIL oil film bearing technology to help our customers improve roll mill reliability and product quality, while reducing component costs. This paper contains a brief history of the development of the MORGOIL oil film bearing and introduces Morgan's new MORGOIL KLx bearing, Rernovable Hydraulic Bayonet Mount (RM), and High Strength Babbitt (HSB). Morgan has constructed the world's only "purpose built" oil film bearing test facility in its Worcester, Massachusetts manufacturing facility to fully test new designs. This facility is also described. In addition, new developments in oil system technology are presented
