Abstract

A redução do tempo de permanência do dessulfurante na aciaria é um fator relevante para a melhoria da eficiência operacional e otimização do processo produtivo. Este trabalho aborda a implementação de práticas de logística interna mais eficientes, aliadas ao uso de monitoramento em tempo real e à automatização das etapas de movimentação e consumo do material. A iniciativa permitiu estabelecer um fluxo mais contínuo, controlado e previsível, reduzindo acúmulos e garantindo a disponibilidade do insumo em condições adequadas para uso. Como etapa inicial, foi realizado o mapeamento completo do processo, desde a identificação da necessidade até a aquisição e disponibilização do material. A análise possibilitou identificar pontos críticos e oportunidades de melhoria, promovendo maior integração entre as áreas envolvidas. O projeto contou com participação multidisciplinar, sob coordenação da Aciaria, responsável pelo consumo do dessulfurante. Como resultados, observou-se melhoria na gestão do insumo, padronização de processos e aumento da eficiência operacional. O estudo evidencia a importância da integração entre áreas e da aplicação de soluções tecnológicas para ganhos sustentáveis no processo siderúrgico.

Reducing the residence time of the desulfurizing agent in the steel shop is a key factor for improving operational efficiency and optimizing the production process. This work addresses the implementation of more efficient internal logistics practices, combined with real-time monitoring and the automation of material handling and consumption stages. This initiative enabled the establishment of a more continuous, controlled, and predictable flow, reducing accumulation and ensuring the availability of the input material under adequate conditions for use. As an initial step, a complete mapping of the process was carried out, from the identification of needs to the procurement and availability of the material. The analysis made it possible to identify critical points and opportunities for improvement, promoting greater integration among the involved areas. The project relied on multidisciplinary participation, under the coordination of the Steelmaking department, responsible for the consumption of the desulfurizing agent. As a result, improvements were observed in material management, process standardization, and increased operational efficiency. The study highlights the importance of cross-functional integration and the application of technological solutions to achieve sustainable gains in the steelmaking process.
