Abstract
Alumina (Al₂O₃) thin films doped with Ce in up to 10% at. were deposited by spray pyrolysis at 280 and 400 ºC on glass substrates. The photoluminescence of these films was evaluated according to the concentration of added dopant, as well as the influence of the deposition temperature on luminescence intensity was analyzed. Doping with Ce introduced changes in luminescence spectra and tunned spectra were observed. The spectra for these films presented asymmetric and a fitting of two gaussian function indicated two peaks whose wavelengths varied around 360 and 380 nm.
