Abstract

A Fundação Acesita desde 1996 desenvolve atividades voltadas aos aposentados, esposas e pensionistas – “Programa Andanças - em busca de novos caminhos”. Ao iniciar o Programa foi realizada uma pesquisa a fim de conhecer a realidade do público-alvo. Na época um dos itens que mais chamou a atenção foi o nível de escolaridade. Grande parte dos pesquisados deixaram de responder a esta questão e um grupo se declarou analfabeto. Neste contexto percebeu-se a necessidade de realizar um projeto para atender aos anseios deste público, contribuindo para minimizar o analfabetismo no município. O Projeto Construindo o Saber que tem como objetivo promover uma alfabetização afetiva e social, proporcionando aos participantes uma aprendizagem de acordo com sua realidade e experiência; levando em conta a dignidade humana, a integração do idoso e a busca da felicidade enquanto qualidade de vida. Utiliza da metodologia participativa, centrada nos interesses e necessidades dos alunos, partindo de seu referencial e respeitando a forma como o adulto aprende. São realizadas aulas expositivas e dialogadas; trabalhos em grupo; discussão e debates de textos informativos e literários; passeios interativos e educativos; palestras; seminários, eventos comemorativos e reuniões com familiares. O projeto conta com participação de 15 professoras/monitoras voluntárias da comunidade e estagiários de serviço social, pedagogia e normal superior. A equipe recebe supervisão/capacitação pra o trabalho. Desde o seu início em 1999 já foram alfabetizados mais de 400 pessoas, sendo que 70% dos alunos estão na faixa etária de 60 a 90 anos.

 

Since 1996 the Acesita Foundation has been developing activities turned to the retired people, wives and pensioners - "Programs Adventures - in search for new roads". When the Program was launched, a research was accomplished in order to know the reality of the target public. At that time one of the items that mostly called attention was the educational level. Great part of those researched failed to answer this subject and a group pronounced illiterate. It was noticed, in this context, the need to accomplish a project to meet this public's longings, contributing to minimize the illiteracy in the municipal district - the Project "Building the Knowledge" - which aims at promoting an affectionate and social literacy, providing education to the participants according to their reality and experience; taking into account the human dignity, the senior's integration and the search for happiness while life quality. It takes advantage of the participative methodology centered in the interests and the students' needs, starting from his/her referential and respecting the way the adults learn. Expository and classes of dialogue are accomplished; group work; discussion and debates on informative and literary texts; interactive and educational walks; lectures; seminars, commemorative events and meetings with family. 15 voluntary teachers/monitors and social service trainees, pedagogy and normal superior take part in the project. The team receives supervision/capacitation for the work. Since its beginning in 1999 more than 400 people has received education, and 70% of the students are in the age group from 60 to 90 years.
