Abstract

A busca por melhores resultados operacionais aliada às exigências de qualidade com tolerância cada vez mais restritas, tornou imperativa a constante atenção aos sistemas de medição e controle de processo. Este trabalho apresenta o projeto de modernização do sistema de controle, implementação de redes digitais de campo e gerenciamento de ativos na Linha de Limpeza Eletrolítica da Laminação a Frio da Usiminas. A modernização visa garantia da continuidade do processo, melhoria da segurança operacional, redução de custos e padronização de sobressalentes. A utilização de protocolo de comunicação aberto associado ao software de gerenciamento de ativos permite a atualização tecnológica e ampliação dos recursos mensuráveis dos instrumentos.

 

The search for better operating profits allied to the quality demands with restricted tolerance, it turned imperative the constant attention to the measurement systems and process control. This paper presents the modernization project of the control system, implementation of field digital nets and asset management in Eletrolytic Cleaning Line of Usiminas Cold Strip Mill Plant. The modernization seeks warranty of the continuity of the process, improvement of the operational safety, reduction of costs and standardization of spare parts. The utilization of opened communication protocol associate to the software asset manegement allows the technological updating and enlargement of the instruments measurable resources.
