Abstract

O óleo bruto, um dos melhores, senão o melhor combustível praticamente utilizável em fornos Siemens-Martin, deve merecer toda a atenção do consumidor. Infelizmente, não é fornecido ao nosso país o óleo mais adequado, utilizado nas siderúrgicas norte-americanas, o qual nunca tem mais de 0,5 a 0,8% de enxofre.

Crude oil, one of the best, if not the best, practically usable fuel in Siemens-Martin furnaces, should receive all the attention of the consumer. Unfortunately, the most suitable oil, used in North American steel plants, which never contains more than 0.5 to 0.8% sulfur, is not supplied to our country.
