Abstract

A Rede Colaborativa Sabará é uma iniciativa inovadora, incentivada pela Belgo- Arcelor Brasil, cujo projeto piloto está sendo desenvolvido em Sabará desde outubro de 2003. Seu objetivo é somar esforços do poder público, da iniciativa privada e das organizações da sociedade civil para o desenvolvimento de ações integradas que visem promover a melhoria da qualidade de vida de crianças e adolescentes em situação efetiva ou provável de exclusão social. As instituições participantes contribuem para que a comunidade aumente sua capacidade de fazer associações e reunir agentes e interesses sociais diferentes em torno de problemas e objetivos comuns. O apoio é direcionado a ações que articulam recursos e competências encontradas no próprio município. Antes individuais, os esforços transformam-se em resultados de cooperação de agentes locais, conferindo uma perspectiva independente às ações sociais do município. Educação, Geração de Trabalho e Renda, Saúde, Segurança e Proteção são as quatro frentes de trabalho nas quais a Rede Colaborativa Sabará se organizou. Até o segundo semestre de 2004, esses grupos se articularam e planejaram suas ações que começaram a ser implementadas no final daquele ano. Esse novo formato de apoio social representa um grande avanço no setor e a experiência já mostrou resultados. Em função dos resultados apresentados o projeto da Rede Colaborativa Sabará foi considerado “Destaque Comunidade” pelo Guia Exame de Boa Cidadania Corporativa de 2005.

 

The Sabará Collaborative Network is an innovative leading action, stimulated by Belgo - Arcelor Brasil. The pilot project has been developed in Sabará since October, 2003. Its purpose is to associate the public power, the private initiative, and the civil society organizations in the development of integrated actions aimed at promoting the improvement of the children and teenagers quality of life if they are or will probably be suffering from social exclusion. The member institutions contribute to the increase in the community capacity to build associations and to congregate different agents and social interests around problems and common plans. The support is directed at actions that articulate resources and abilities inside the local area. Once individual, the efforts are now function of the local agents’ cooperation, providing a self-sufficient perspective to the social actions of an area. Education, Employment and Income Growth, Health, Security, and Protection are the four fronts of work in which the Sabará Collaborative Network is based. Before the second semester of 2004, these groups were articulating and planning their actions, which started to be implemented at the end of that year. This new form of social support represents a great advance in the context area and the experience has already showed great results. Due to the results obtained by the Sabará Collaborative Network project, it was awarded for Community Distinction by the Good Corporative Citizenship Guide from Exame, one of the best Brazilians Magazines.
