Abstract
One of the main parameters to determine the PCI rate and the replacement ratio is the properties of pulverized coal injected at BF. The basic characteristics of Shouqin pulverized coal, such as combustion property, grindability, volatile matter and ash content, have been investigated to provide the basis for improving the PCI rate. The industrial test proves that the PCI rate can reach a maximum of 200 kg/ t. The BF system runs well when the PCI rate is 180 kg/ t. So the performance of Shouqin BF has achieved the leading position in the congener. The BF dust under increased PCI rate was investigated by means of microscopic and chemical analysis .thus the amount of unconsumed pulverized coal and the utilization factor of pulverized coal was determined. Results show that with increasing of PCI rate all the amount of unconsumed pulverized coal in BF dust increase. The amount of unconsumed pulverized coal is more than 3 kg/t when the PCI rate reaches 195 kg/t; The utilization factor of pulverized coal is high which can reach 99.07% when the PCI rate is 185 kg/t, which shows that Shouqin BF can achieve high PCI rate and low energy consumption.
