Abstract

The in-line casting and rolling process for thin slabs is playing a more and more important part in investment decision-making today. Plant and equipment makers have to submit tailor-made concepts and be able to supply the operator with a plant which is a optimum in every respect, as regards both the required end product, the cost efficiency and also the requirements of the market. This paper is designed to show the wide range of applications and to explain the advantages and disadvantages of the individual configurations.
