Abstract

Departuring from shell model applied to 3 or 4 point bending specimens with rectangular sections, the possible use of the proposed model for brittle materials mechanical properties is studied, once this model increases considerable the accuracy of the statistical analysis. This work used 162 specimens, made by red clay, divided in several batches to present the case.
