Abstract
By means of a previous model it was possible to evaluate the equilibrium total energies of close packed metals subjected to very high compression at 0 K. In order to study the cohesive energies of close packed metals in conditions of low compression and at high temperature, the model has been modified. With the new model it has been possible to evaluate the energy variations around the equilibrium point. The results have been compared with those obtained by means of a previous more phenomenological approach.
