Abstract
Provide an update on the Tecnored industrial plant as well as discuss the future prospects of this emergent ironmaking technology. After years of pilot plant development that included the design and operation of a full size modular slice of the industrial furnace, the first Tecnored industrial plant is under commissioning. The operation of the first industrial plant shall pave the way to the introduction of large scale plants based on the Tecnored technology in the near future. This paper will give an overview of the technology, a description of the current phase and start-up strategy of the Industrial Demonstration Plant as well as the main features of the large scale Tecnored plants.
