Abstract

The investigations included both theoretical and experimental analyses of radial forging. The theoretical part of the study describes the deformation gap and the deformation course. Experimental tests evaluated the influence of forging parameters on the distribution of local strains, geometrical characteristics, and microstructure of forged rods. The results were formulated mathematically, although broader application of these findings requires the development of a computer program for processing design.
