Abstract
In a search to increase value at USIMINAS steel products, the Steel Mills make available to its customers building technologies developed by the company technical group and partners, worrying about offering components to each production chain players, from suppliers to design professionals, passing through financing agencies, builders and final costumers. Within this strategy, USIMINAS presents its solution on Galvanized Light Gauge Steel Framing, named Usiframe, which intends to be a tropicalized version of a self bearing industrialized building system. Beyond the marketing purpose, investing on developing this building system is a technology upgrade effort for better and higher quality solutions on Brazilian construction market reality overall. That include a research for new products, new methods and processes gathering productivity, sustainability and decreasing time consumption on current building processes.
