Abstract

Testes de simulação dinâmica foram realizados para a validação do projeto de engenharia, fase FEL2, da nova usina de beneficiamento de minério de ferro – Conceição Itabiritos. A modelagem das operações do circuito foi baseada em princípios físico-químicos, sendo considerados detalhes referentes ao dimensionamento e critérios do projeto aplicados aos diversos equipamentos e sua integração via blocos de controle. Alguns dos resultados registrados apontam para a necessidade de adequações no projeto, visto terem impacto direto sobre a qualidade e produção da nova Usina. A simulação dinâmica de processos configura-se como uma importante ferramenta auxiliando na consolidação de Projetos de Capital, em busca de maior confiabilidade e robustez das operações.

Dynamic simulation tests were performed to validate the engineering design, phase FEL 2, of the Conceição Itabiritos green field project. The modeling of the operations of the circuit was based on physicochemical principles, and considered details regarding sizing and design criteria applied to the various equipment and their integration via control blocks. Some of the reported results indicate the need for adjustments in the project since they have direct impact on the quality and production of new plant. The dynamic simulation of processes appears as an important tool for assisting in the consolidation of Capital Projects, in search of greater reliability and robustness of operations.
