Abstract

Dependendo das etapas de pré-tratamento que o ferro-gusa irá ser submetido, a dessiliciação pode ser uma operação que permitirá obter melhores resultados neste processo. Este trabalho utiliza a termodinâmica computacional para estudar a etapa de dessiliciação e sua influência nas etapas de dessulfuração e desfosforação. Através da utilização do Programa ThermoCalc, foram calculadas as diferentes quantidades de fonte de FeO que devem ser adicionadas para atingir diferentes concentrações de silício no ferro-gusa. Além disso, foram determinadas a temperatura final do processo e o teor de oxigênio em equilíbrio no ferro-gusa. A termodinâmica computacional mostrou-se uma ferramenta útil no estudo na dessiliciação de ferro-gusa.

 

According to steps of pretreatment that the hot metal will be submitted, the desiliconization can be a process that it will permit to get better results. This paper use the computational thermodynamic to study the desiliconization step and its influence about the desulphurization and dephosphorization steps. Using the ThermoCalc software, it was calculating the quantity of source of FeO necessary to be added to the hot metal to reach different concentrations of silicon in the hot metal. Moreover, it was determined the final temperature of process and the equilibrium content of oxygen in the hot metal. The computational thermodynamic was a useful tool at study of the hot metal desiliconization.
