Abstract

Desde 1963, o laminador de tiras a quente de alto desempenho da Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH opera em um nível de desempenho excepcional. Isso também é alcançado por meio da parceria estratégica de longa data entre o SMS group e a Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, que abrange um portfólio abrangente de serviços tecnológicos. Projetos de modernização visionários e inovadores mantêm o laminador de tiras a quente no “estado da arte” para a produção dos graus de aço mais desafiadores, incluindo graus automotivos. O trabalho apresentará os pilares da parceria estratégica e os marcos alcançados, bem como as soluções tecnológicas dessa história de sucesso, de modo a convencer os proprietários de plantas dos benefícios de uma parceria de ciclo de vida como essa.

Since 1963, the high-performance hot strip mill at the Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH is operating on an outstanding performance level. This is also achieved through the long-standing strategic partnership between SMS group and Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, comprising a comprehensive portfolio of technological services. Far-sighted and innovative modernization projects keep the hot rolling mill at the "state-of-the-art" for producing most challenging steel grades, including automotive grades. The paper will present corner stones of the strategic partnership and milestones as well as technological solutions of the success story, to convince plant owners of the benefits of such a lifecycle partnership.
