Entre os conceitos e ferramentas da Produção Enxuta está o Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED). Esta ferramenta caracteriza-se pela sua capacidade de reduzir o tempo de setup de máquina por meio da troca rápida de ferramenta. Assim sendo, este artigo tem objetivo de verificar a aderência dos conceitos do SMED aplicados ao processo de suporte à tecnologia da informação na operação e controle de uma Câmara Blindada Anecóica pertencente a um Laboratório de Integração e Testes de Satélites. Trata-se, portanto, de uma pesquisa qualitativa do tipo bibliográfica e exploratória. Os resultados obtidos a partir deste trabalho revelaram melhorias no processo em que foi aplicado, entretanto, verificou-se a aderência parcial dos conceitos e ferramentas ao caso estudado.

Among the concepts and tools of lean production is the Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED). This tool is characterized by its capacity to reduce setup time machine through the exchange of quick tool. Therefore, this article is to verify the observance of the concepts applied to the SMED process support for technology information in the operation and control of an Anechoic Chamber belonging to the Laboratory for Satellite Integration and Test. It is, therefore, a qualitative study of literature and exploratory. The results from this study showed significant improvements in the process that was applied, however there was a partial adherence of the concepts and tools to the case study.
