Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar e caracterizar o comportamento mecânico em desgaste do aço API 5L X65 revestido com nióbio em comparação ao desempenho em relação aos revestimentos empregados na industria de óleo e gás, como os de ligas de inconel 625. O revestimento de nióbio foi obtido por processo de aspersão térmica a plasma de arco não transferido e o revestimento de inconel 625 foi obtido por soldagem com eletrodo revestido. A resistência ao desgaste por abrasão foi avaliada em um tribômetro CTER, a rugosidade e o volume de material desgastado foram determinados através de perfilometria. Os revestimentos obtidos também foram caracterizados quanto à morfologia por microscopia eletrônica de varredura e microscopia óptica.

 

The aim of this study was to evaluate and characterize the mechanical wear in the API 5L X65 steel coated with niobium in comparison to performance in relation to coatings used in oil and gas industry, such as Inconel 625 alloy. The coating of niobium was obtained by plasma thermal spray process and the coating of Inconel 625 was obtained by shielded metal arc welding. The resistance to abrasion was evaluated in a tribometer CETR, roughness and volume of material removed was determined by profilometry. The coatings obtained were also characterized for their morphology by scanning electron microscopy and optical microscopy.
