Resumo

Some important figures of the composite cold bonded agglomerates, particularly pellets and briquettes, are presented. Their major mechanical and metallurgical properties are discussed, focusing the cold and hot performances which can lead to affect the reactors productivity. Additionally, the kinetic models and the overall rate controlled mechanisms are reviewed, as well as the mathematical approaches to model the self-reducing processes. Metallization morphologies are also reviewed, in order to generate basic foundations to explain the structures and locations of the reactor’s internal zones.
