Resumo

Utilizamos diversas correias transportadoras em operação contínua para estocagem, transferência e embarque de alumina. O nosso desafio é eliminar totalmente a queda de alumina ao longo do transportador, evitando o acúmulo, danos materiais e ambientais, que comprometam a operação com nosso produto, além de gerar risco à saúde de nossos colaboradores. Com base nos problemas analisados utilizando-se a metodologia dos 5 porquês, implementamos um sistema de escovas rotativas para a limpeza no retorno da correia C-12A05X, que é a principal na transferência de alumina. Neste trabalho foram identificadas as oportunidades de melhoria, demonstrada suas implantações e os resultados obtidos após testes e evoluções.

 

We use various conveyor belts in continuous operation for storage, transfer and shipment of alumina. Our challenge is to totally eliminate the fall of alumina along the conveyor, avoiding the accumulation, material and environmental damage, which could compromise the operation with our product, and generate health risk to our employees. Based on the problems analyzed using the methodology of the five whys, we implemented a system of rotating brushes to clean the return belt C-12A05X, which is the main transfer of alumina. In this work we identified opportunities for improvement, demonstrated their deployments, and the results obtained after testing and developments.
