Resumo

O objetivo desse trabalho foi determinar as características da transformação da aus- tenita sob resfriamento contínuo de diversos aços microligados ao Nb com eventuais adições de Ti, Mo e/ou B. Constatou-se que as ligas ao Nb ou NbTi promoveram a formação de microestrutura ferrítico-bainítica, enquanto que o uso conjunto de Nb, Mo e Nb promoveu intensa formação de constituintes aciculares que elevam a dure- za do material. O enriquecimento da austenita remanescente pelo C rejeitado duran- te a transformação apresentou papel relevante na definição da microestrutura final.

 

The aim of this work was to determine the characteristics of austenite transformation under continuous cooling of several Nb microalloyed steels, eventually with Ti, Mo and/or B additions. It was verified that Nb or NbTi alloys promote the formation of ferritic-bainitic microstructure, while the use of Nb, Mo and Nb promoted intense formation of acicular constituents with high hardness. The C enrichment in the remanescent austenite had a vital role in the definition of the final microstructure.
