Abstract

As transformações as quais a sociedade moderna tem passado sejam elas econômicas, políticas e tecnológicas, têm causado mudanças nos cenários, como as tendências de atuação globalizada da economia; a formação de blocos econômicos e os novos padrões tecnológicos. Esses fatores implicaram em mudanças na organização visando obter competência na obtenção dos objetivos para os quais existe, ou seja, produzir efetivamente os bens ou serviços para os quais foi criada. Nesse ínterim, obter competência e competitividade, considerando os desafios existentes, exige conhecimento de seus objetivos para que assim, possa definir as estratégias adequadas à consecução destes, considerando o cenário em que atua. Na definição das estratégias da organização, deve-se considerar o potencial da tecnologia de informação como um meio para obter níveis maiores de competência e competitividade. Dessa forma, analisou-se a importância da utilização da tecnologia de informação como estratégia no processo de mudança organizacional. Para tanto, realizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória com estudo de caso, na qual a tecnologia de informação, se bem gerenciadas permitirão a mudança organizacional, e se mal gerenciadas implicarão em barreiras à mudança organizacional. Concluiu-se que a tecnologia de informação ao possibilitar apoio a qualquer estrutura organizacional, torna-se um fator chave à descentralização das atividades enquanto mantêm a capacidade em coordenar e controlar. Deste modo, as estratégias devem estar focadas no envolvimento das pessoas para projetar a estrutura organizacional, além disso, os sistemas baseados em tecnologia de informação se bem planejados podem ajudar os trabalhadores a se adaptarem as mudanças.

 

The transformations which the modern society has passed are economic they, technological politics and, have caused changes in the scenes, as the trends of globalizada performance of the economy; the formation of economic blocks and the new technological standards. These factors had implied in changes in the organization having aimed at to get ability in the attainment of the objectives for which it exists, or either, to effectively produce the goods or services for which it was created. In this meantime, to get ability and competitiveness, considering the existing challenges, demands knowledge of its objectives so that thus, can define the adequate strategies to the achievement of these, considering the scene where it acts. _ in the definition of the strategy of the organization, must consider the potential of the technology of information as a way to get level big of ability and competitiveness. Of this form, importance of the use of the information technology was analyzed it as strategy in the process of organizacional change. For in such a way, it was become fullfilled exploratória bibliographical research with case study, in which the information technology, if managed well they will allow the organizacional change, and if badly managed they will imply in barriers to the organizacional change. One concluded that the technology of information when making possible support to any organizacional structure, becomes a factor key the decentralization of the activities while they keep the capacity in co-ordinating and controlling. In this way, the strategies must be focadas in the envolvement of the people to project the organizacional structure, moreover, the systems based on information technology if planned well can help the workers if adaptarem the changes.
