Abstract

Este artigo apresenta a caracterização tecnológica e o estudo estatístico sobre a influência dos minerais com diferentes tipos texturais, tais como martítico, especular e granular, sobe o desempenho da flotação catiônica inversa para concentrá-los. Este estudo se deu pela necessidade de entender o motivo da variação de comportamento da flotação em coluna em escala industrial. Após a análise, pode-se comprovar que a hematita especular, devido ao seu tipo textural lamelar, influencia diretamente sua flotabilidade, mesmo se tratando de uma oxido de ferro ela se torna fllotavel. Influenciando negativamente na flotação, diminuindo sua recuperação a mássica e aumento do teor de ferro no rejeito.

 

This article presents a technological characterization and a statistical study on the influence of minerals with different textural types, such as martitic, specular and granular, on the performance of inverse cationic flotation to concentrate them. This study was carried out due to the need to understand the reason for the variation in the behavior of column flotation on an industrial scale. After the analysis, it can be proved that the specular hematite, due to its lamellar textural type, directly influences its floatability, even when dealing with an iron oxide it becomes floatable. Negatively influencing flotation, decreasing its mass recovery and increasing the iron content in the tailings
